Pearl Power is a feisty five-year-old who believes very strongly in girl and boy equality. Upon meeting one boy who seems to think that boys are better than girls, she teaches him a lesson in girl power, as well as in kindness. The story is written in rhymes throughout to enhance rhythm and enjoyment for the reader as well as making it easier to develop reading skills for the listener.
This book is the third in a series of Pearl Power books, written and illustrated by Mel Elliott. The storybook aimed at 4-7 year olds and carefully addresses the subject of same sex parents.
The second in this beautiful children's series, Pearl Power and the Toy Problem, sees Pearl once again showing the boys that girls are every bit as great, and that there's no such thing as 'girl toys' and 'boy toys'.
